Marathoner. Vegan. Yogi. Cyclist. Hiker. Bibliophile. I love: being outside, animals, mountains, and beaches.

When you first went vegan did you experience any joint pain? I exercise pretty much 6 days a week with rest days when I need them and I've been vegan for a little over a month and I've noticed pain in my ankle, knees, and elbows. Have you experienced anything similar? Thanks! xx

No I haven’t had any joint pain in relation to being vegan. I would venture to guess that you might be exercising more than your body can handle at the moment. Make sure your eating enough as a new vegan and stretching after working out. Though if you have pain in your elbows and your not lifting or doing arm stuff you might want to talk to your Doc. And make sure your getting the vitamins (maybe try B-12) that you need. Hope you feel better! ;) Anyone have any advice?

Tasty oatmeal before a 5 mile run and abs. I’m going to hot yoga tonight! Yay! ☺️ And I ran 145 miles last month-that’s my highest since marathon training. #vegan #vegetarian #breakfast #oatmeal #bananas #blueberries #peanutbutter #veganchocolatechips #enjoylife @enjoylifefoods #healthy #fitness #runner #prerun #food #foodporn #hotyoga #outdoors #backyard #myfood #chocolatechips

I could totally eat fruit and pasta for the rest of my life if I had to 😍 (good thing I don’t have to, because then if miss out on chocolate and rice and french fries which I also really really like) 😜👍 Sauce made with tomato purée, Italian seasoning, sautéed onion, garlic, and eggplant, and basalmic vinegar. Salt-free/oil-free!
